New CD   Omaggio a János Sebestyén   Available April 2022

This new 2-CD edition from Italy features selections from János Sebestyén's recordings made for the Angelicum label in Milan. The original tapes, recorded by Thomas Gallia between 1963 and 1970 in Milan, Brescia, and Rovigo, have been meticulously restored for this release by Marco Taio.

The program includes organ concertos by Haydn and Handel, solo organ works by Zipoli, Frescobaldi, Pasquini, Aldrovandini, Kozeluch, Speth, and Walther, concerto transcriptions for solo harpsichord by Bach, and the Eight Little Preludes and Fugues for organ traditionally ascribed to Bach.

The 20-page booklet includes private photos and essays discussing these recordings and the careers of Sebestyén, Gallia, and their colleague Paul Déry.

Program details and purchase information for this limited edition are available at Discogs.
