RUSSIA, 1961...

János Sebestyén toured Russia in 1961 with concerts in Moscow, Leningrad, Donieck and Tashkent. The photo on the left was taken in Leningrad and the poster above is for his recital on the Cavaillé-Coll organ at the Moscow Conservatory.

UNITED STATES, 1975...

János Sebestyén's first visit to the United States in 1975 included performances of the organ part in Janacek's Glagolitic Mass at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. While in New York he also recorded radio programs with George Jellinek, host of The Vocal Scene and music director for WQXR (above). The poster on the right is from the Kennedy Center concert.
